Happy 2012! I hope you will be just as awesome!
Babies are miracles. Each one is a precious little gift from above. Recently I had the opportunity to photograph Nazareth while she was pregnant with her second and third child. Yes, twins were cooking in her beautiful belly. Nazareth was lucky and received her Christmas gift a little early this year. Their little family was graced with a bouncing baby boy, Joshua, weighing 7.8 lbs., 20 inches and an adorable baby girl, Jayden, weighing 7.2 lbs., 18 inches. Not too long ago I was blessed with a tiny miracle myself, so I know capturing their first moments is crucial because they grow so quickly. I was honored to be able to photograph Jayden and Joshua. Each of their personalities already shines through the lens. Joshua was a little sleepy boy, which was perfect for me beacuase I could bundle him up in the cutest positions. Jayden was a fiesty little sweetheart that wanted to take over the show. Both babies are incredibly amazing. They make you want to nibble their sweet cheeks. Congratulations again Nazareth, Luis and big brother James!
Look at his little smirk.

Baby Jayden

Twins!!!
I think she was hungry, again.
Here is the last Christmas photo shoot for my bebe for this holiday season. I just had to snap a few more shots while he is still crawling. These are the smiles, giggles and funny faces I want to remember forever. I love you my baby!
My ‘lil bear.

His faces are so darn cute!

He looks like one of Santa’s little helpers.
I tried this again except I sewed on a cute Christmas colored plaid tie to his shirt (aka onsie).

My favorite photo from the shoot. His two front teeth are adorable and the vintage color really matched his Christmas Day outfit:)
Our Christmas cards will be in the mail tomorrow…finally. This year we had a few mishaps and blooper before we got a Christmas card worthy photo shoot. This is how it went down. On the first take, I couldn’t decide on a location or backdrop. Another day we lost light. Duh Evie the sun sets way earlier this time of year. Third time is a charm, right? Yes, so true. We were all ready. Time, location and attire, check!. But of course we still had some outtakes that aren’t too bad if you ask me. But then again, I think my lil bebe and husband look so darn cute anytime.
Sometimes I like to use this vintage look. Oh yes the white stuff on the bebe’s head isn’t dandruff…lol It was supposed to be snow:)

Oh my, <3 them! Look at his tie, crooked!

Recently families with boys are attracted to my lens. Like magnets to a teacher’s white board, they just stick. Boys make me laugh, boys make me run, and boys make shoots fly by because they sure know how to have fun. The Velazquez boys, Matthew and Nathan, were a bit camera shy at first. But after a few minutes, they forgot I was there…phewww! Their parents, Marissa and Robin, are truly amazing. They have patience, like I’ve never seen, and kindness that soothes the soul. Of course I clicked with Marissa right away. Why, you ask? Well she is a fellow Trojan, like myself. I knew there was a reason she looked so great in that cardinal red. Thank you Velazquez family for letting me capture your tender moments. FIGHT ON!

This park was awesome. Everywhere you looked there was a new spot, with amazing trees, to take pictures.

I had to get the wildlife trying to attack Marissa’s poor boots.
Classic.

What? I can’t hear you!!!
I tell you, boys just like having fun.
Marissa and Robin wanted some personal photos together. So I saved the best for last.

Meet the team, Paul, Vanessa, Nathan and Mason. I’m not going to lie I was a little nervous upon meeting Team Esparza. I received a short but sweet email from Vanessa asking me to take some photos of her family. That didn’t scare me. What threw me for a loop was that she wanted to take these pictures a.s.a.p, like almost yesterday fast. She actually gave me less than a week’s notice, but how could I resist making room on my calendar for a family shoot. I love family photo sessions. The innocence of the kiddies and the love that pours out from their parents is priceless. Team Esparza did not dissapoint. Their four year old, Nathan instantly melted my heart. He is one of those boys that I always want to ask their parents, how do you do it? How is your boy so well behaved and respectful? If they answer, I am waiting with pen and paper in hand ready to jot down all notes. See, when you are like me, a former first grade teacher, you’ve seen the run of the mill. So I tend to really appreciate those little boys that I would like my son to be like. Oh ya, Nathan is also incredibly adorable! Their second son, Mason, almost made me want to run home that instant to hug my bebe. He is a little more than a week older than my son. Mason was also just perfect. Sheesh I really should have taken some notes from Vanessa and Paul. Their little guy smiled, laughed, sat patiently and only fussed when he got thirsty. What a champ! Vanessa and Paul, I loved hanging out with you two and your little men as well. Thanks for being such a sweet and cooperative bunch!

Stripes, my fave!
Kiss Kiss time:)

I think they are both mama’s boys:)

Mason’s expression was too darn cute!
I always try to get the girly shoe shot, but I had to get a rugged tennis shoe wearing boy shot!
I am full.
I am full of love.
Full of joy and happiness.
I am full of inspiration and imagination.
Full of courage, hope, wisdom, and faith.
I am full with all of these things because
I am blessed to spend my days with the two loves of my life.
I am thank-full for my boys!
