Andrea & Jeremy | Engaged | Balboa Park San Diego

Andrea and Jeremy are in la la love! Let me just cut to the chase and tell you about how romantic Jeremy’s proposal was to Andrea. He secretly invited her whole family over (she’s originally from Los Angeles County) and his to help create an unforgettable engagement celebration. Their families gathered at their home and waited patiently for Andrea to arrive. When she walked in the walls where covered with photographs of their years together as a couple, lights were dim and the only thing that sparkled was the shiny engagement ring and her smile as Jeremy got down on his knee to proclaim his love in front all of their favorite people. Now how is that for sweetness?!

During their engagement session I feel in love with their love. They were just as bubbly and explosively fresh like a newly popped bottle of rosé that tingles each time it hits your lips. Yup, that’s the kinda love they just poured all over Balboa Park that day. Then I met Cleo, their fur baby, and her feisty ways made me feel all warmsie inside. Oh and did I mention how photographic she is or maybe just maybe I’m the new dog whisper. Ha!

I’m honored to help these two loves become husband and wife next year. Can I get a woo woo for all my 2017 weddings!!!

Maria & Chris | Engaged |Downtown Los Angeles

In a little less than a month Maria and Chris with all of their heart and soul say their I do’s. Fate, coincidence, or just pure luck would have Maria and Chris meet while pursuing a career in college counseling. They are two of the kindest people you’ll meet and their hearts are totally dedicated to helping young college students find their path in higher education. So, as they share their passion in Education they also just get one another. Like best friends, they simply enjoy hanging out, eating good food, watching performances, and their favorite- adventure seeking while getting their workout on! I’m so excited to document their love, all of their laughter, and pretty details that they have planned.

Yared & Jimmy | Engaged | Downtown Los Angeles

You know that tingly feeling you get inside when you know it was just mean to be? That moment when you’re like I like that too, that’s what I like to do for fun too…a hundred and one “toos” make you feel like you were just made to connect. That’s exactly how I felt when I met Yared! Ha, you thought I was talking about their love hugh? Okay, okay I was talking about them at first and then me. Yared, could you believe was my very first “Instagram” client? I met her and was like we need to be friends! She’s adorable, sweet, ultra creative, has incredible style, and the list can go on. Then I met Jimmy and I thought, yeah they are perfect for each other. He loves her beyond measure, makes her laugh, and has a fun little style of his own. Together they love coffee, traveling, hip and urban foodie places, and they love DTLA.

I’ve been photographing their Christmas photos for the last few years now, so I was ecstatic when they got engaged and even more so when they asked me to shoot their enagement session. Then we went to the 6th Street Bridge before it closed and I was dead. You know in that good Instagram hip lingo kinda dead. They made magic of course and well you can see the rest for yourself!

Congratulations Yared and Jimmy you know I have heart eyes for your guys!

Samantha & Ernesto | Engagement | Downtown Los Angeles Art’s District

I’m baaaack! And what a better to make my blogging return then to post an artistic urban engagement session that took place in the Downtown LA Art’s district a couple of months ago?!!! Can these two get any cuter? (imagine me saying it in Chandler Bing’s voice) Don’t ya love Friends?! Okay, back to engagement season!!! Samantha and Ernesto just put their fashion and location stamp on my blog for the firsts of many engagements sessions to come. But best of all they showed their love so effortlessly. Now, let me quote on of my favorite wedding movies of all time, My Best Friend’s Wedding, “Love the bag, love the shoes, love everything!” Yass, I want all of Samantha’s wardrobe! Just saying!

I’m really humbled how I always seem to get the sweetest couples, families, and clients in general. You can even see their candied love for each other just ooze through their images! I can’t wait for their wedding in March, where they’ll be saying their I do’s and then according to Ernesto dancing to some good old Mexican stomping music (if ya’ll know what I’m talking about, then ya’ll all know what I’m talking about! he he).

I L-0-V-E February

February has become one of my new favorite months. During this month, pink is everywhere. I love it! Pink just makes me happy. Don’t judge my girly ways, just accept them please. Then comes the big love day itself. I’m a sucker for romance (my husband knows he better bring his A game every year). Now, there is a whole other reason to heart the month of love…because of this lil guy down here. Take a look. Move over Mr. G. There is a new guy in town and he makes my hear melt with just a kiss. My baby is so incredibly lovable I cannot resist his devious gummy grin.

This handsome little fella is now my new Valentine.

Surprise Engagement. Santa Monica

Love is… all warm and fuzzy like a comforter straight out of the dryer. It has that special warmth to make you feel safe and it smothers the cold right out from under your toes. Watching love grow is another snuggly security blanket because it reminds me that love is wonderful, magical, and beautiful with every relationship. I’ve been watching a true love affair unfold right before my eyes. And, no, not a Brad Pitt and Angelina affair, but a Noah and Allie type (from ‘The Notebook’). The kind of relationship that is going to last forever. After laughing, hugging, and just plain hanging out with two of my favorite people, my best friend and her boyfriend, I had the honor of witnessing another amazing moment in their love affair, their proposal. Yes, I said it. I had a front row seat to my best friend’s surprise proposal. Marco, her newly fiance, asked me to photograph this momentous event. He wanted me to capture his love for the girl he wants to be with for the rest of his life, Lisett. “Yes, yes, yes,” I replied. I was so extatic that for a moment I felt like I was being proposed to. I couldn’t believe I kept this ginormous secret for like ever. Five whole days feels like an eternity when the person you tell your juiciest secrets to is off limits. So I did what any amazing best friend would do- start mentally planing the wedding for her. Well, I don’t want her to get behind on any of the details (ahem…the bride’s maids dresses). Before I knew it…

the afternoon had arrived and I found myself pacing here.
I wanted to make sure Lisett and Marco had memories of the details from that afternoon at the Santa Monica Pier.
Marco was very cool and collective in his casual blazer, white button-up shirt, and blue jeans. Lisett looked beautiful as always with her Treseme-like hairdo and perfeclty pedicured toes.
Little did she know that the cartoonist was in on Marco’s surprise proposal. But what was he drawing?
Marco is either so excited that Lisett has no clue, or he is just a camera ham. Ha!

One more for the scrapbook. Oh didn’t you know Lisett was an avid scrapbooker?

L is for the way you look at me…O is for the only one I see. Sorry but every time I hear wedding bells I think of ‘My Best Friend’s Wedding’. Hey, and this actually will be my best friend’s wedding. Double ha!
I had to end with this incredibly touching moment of Lisett and her mommy embracing and rejoicing with tears of happiness.
