Happy 3rd Birthday my love!  After three years I still can’t believe you are mine! You make me smile with all of your adorable sass, jokes, and oh so interesting way you try to use big words like “serious” and “disappointed.” When I knew I was having a girl I dreamt of pink, frills, and of course Hello Kitty. Although I get super excited when you like the same things that I hoped you would, all of that doesn’t even matter anymore. All I want is for you to stay this small as long as you could. I will tell you the truth, life at times will get hard my love, but I hope I can create as many happy memories for you to look back on when it does get rough. I’m looking forward to more mommy-and-me dates, late night conversations, and sharing what we love best- sweets! Remember I will love you forever and be here always. Never forget you have your Nana’s spirituality, Grandma’s impeccable work-ethic, Nani’s creativity and your Mommy’s drive. With all these great women that came before you, you have the world ahead of you!

You are a beauty inside and out, smart, and kind! I love you!

Lauren & Anthony. Engaged. Orange County Wedding Photographer.

Lauren and Anthony are national travelers. The moved from Delaware to California recently and will soon set their feet in New Jersey by next Spring. Hmm what are Bonnie and Clyde up to, nothing but love! They are just two youngins in love. Anthony is actually in the army, which allows him to travel so often and this also means that his adorable fiancé will soon be an army wife. They wanted to have their engagement session right here in Laguna Beach where Anthony proposed to Lauren one romantic afternoon. She said yes and probably gave him a million and one kisses as they decided to spend the rest of their lives in love with one another. She’s a homebody that loves teaching children. She won my heart, like I’m sure she did his, when I discovered she’s a one-on-one teacher for children with Autism. He’s an adventurer and together they are like peanut butter and jelly. No, better like nutella and apple butter on a warm English muffin…so good together! The best thing about this session is how their true love just spewed out in front of my lens because when I asked them to snuggle, they joked how that was their favorite thing to do. Seriously, you guys are killing me that you are so darn perf together! Unfortunately, I won’t be able to photograph their wedding in Delaware this June, but I was beyond honored when they asked me to capture their engagement session. I mean there are a million and one photographers and they chose me! I’m kinda still on a natural high from that, just saying. Lauren and Anthony you guys were way too much cuteness. Thank you again and congratulations on your upcoming wedding!

Lakamraju Family. Orange County Family Photographer.

The cold winter gave way to a beautiful day for this lovely family session. I started the afternoon with Jyotsna, Sameer and their adorable baby girl in a nature trail near her sister’s home. Jyotsna’s cute little family was in town from San Francisco visiting her sister and parents in Orange County. After we had a mini session at the nature trails we headed down the street to join the rest of the family. While in town Jyotsna really wanted to capture the new generation (her daughter and her sister’s son) with the old generation (her parents). The Lakamraju family created some beautiful memories that day. Throughout our time together they seemed to generate a celebratory vibe of just enjoying the presence of each other and loving life.
This one is my favorite. The family is all together embracing each other.

Christine & Van. Engagement.

By high school, these two kids had their hearts throbbing for one another. I’m sure you could practically see their love bulging out of their freshly pressed polo shirts, pink for her, and white for him.  Christine or “Kitty” as her friends like to call her, and Van met and then fell in love during their teens. Like if the intense late night studying wasn’t enough attending respective all-girls and an all-boys school surely would have pulled them apart, but cupid struck them hard. Christine and Van made it last. They continued to court all throughout college.  These sweethearts both attended and graduated from Cal Poly Pomona. As they began their careers they continued to foster their love for each other.

Last Thanksgiving, Christine and Van celebrated being thankful for their families, like they do every year, and also their growing love. It just so happened that  Thanksgiving 2011 landed on their anniversary. After staying up all night from cooking a feast for her family, Christine was a bit delirious and needed a break from all the festivities. Van stole her away for a bit and their little adventure had them walking around downtown Los Angeles until they ended up at Pershing Square.  They were about to get escorted out by security when Van insisted that they have their picture taken. As the guard was going to snap their photograph, Christine could see her love, Van, starting to bend down. Instead of jumping to conclusions, as most of us girls would have done, Christine in her delirious state thought the obvious, he has to tie his shoe. But of course, when she looked down, he was on one knee with the prettiest ring in his hand.

Kitty and Van, clearly you two are meant for each other. I’m so excited to showcase the love that you shared during your engagement photos and I can’t wait to capture this and more on your wedding day! Congratulations xoxo. Here’s some more of their engagement shoot. Her lipstick…a must have!
I love the color of their outfits! I think I might just have to grab a pair of Van’s kicks for my hubby.
His look says it all…ya she’s gorgeous!
Found my favorite. You look stunning Kitty. I also love the warmth of the color from this sunny summer afternoon.
