Cayden

February 7, 2013

6.4 oz and 20.5 in.

Congratulations Charles and Amber Jo you have one handsome fella on your hands!

Cayden’s nursery was designed and crafted by Charles, Amber Jo and her family. They thought of every superhero detail. She even hand-sticked the rad mobile.
This one has to be my favorite!

Vanessa, Rafael & Melodie. Maternity Session. Orange County Maternity Photographer.

The most incredible thing about love is that it continues to grow. Just when you think your heart can’t get anymore complete than this…it grows with Love. Vanessa and Rafael have had their hearts and arms wrapped around their daughter, Melodie for almost six years now. Just like Vanessa’s belly keeps expanding with their growing baby, so will the love they share. Vanessa and Rafael will welcome their second baby girl, Eva Juliet (oh how I love that name) into their world this May. The funny thing is how little Melodie wasn’t quit ready at first. Vanessa said that when they first told Melodie she was going to be a big sister, she asked if they could send the baby back. All they had to do was tell the Dr. they didn’t want the baby. Simple right? Little girls and the things they say…Melodie would also constantly ask her mommy if she was sure there really was a baby in there. Hilarious but oh so cute! I think someone felt comfortable with her only child status. Now Melodie is thrilled with becoming a big sister. And who wouldn’t be? She gets to dress her up, experiment with make-up, and blame all the mess on her little sister (or at least that’s what I used to do).

Congratulations Vanessa, Rafael, and Melodie. May your hearts overflow with Love.
My favorite.Vanessa is so crafty. She made this sign and put together a few more props. So gorgeous, I can’t take it! My favorite.

Valentine’s Day Neon Session. Los Angeles Family Photographer.

The day of love will be here very soon! Okay I must admit I love this holiday too! I guess I’m just a holiday fanatic. I adore Valentine’s day for three simple reasons.

1.Pink
2.Hearts
3. Pink Sweet Treats

Need I say anymore? No. Last year I had both outdoor and indoor mini photo sessions for my son’s first Valentine’s Day. For the outside photos I used red balloons and red hearts. When I photographed the inside session, there was so much light-pink that I thought I was inside of a cotton candy machine. This time I wanted to go bold and bright. I wanted to add a little more creativity so I thought, what would be cuter then a little half naked painter trying to create a picture for his mama? Well, nothing is better-duh! So yes the torturous mama that I am had my little guy flex his muscles and show off his rather talented painting strokes in the brisk cold of a February afternoon. I promise that when he gets older and asks me why I snapped these silly photos of him every Valentine’s day, I will tell him because I LOVED HIM so much that I couldn’t think of a better Valentine’s Day gift to receive than a charming photo of my son.

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Lakamraju Family. Orange County Family Photographer.

The cold winter gave way to a beautiful day for this lovely family session. I started the afternoon with Jyotsna, Sameer and their adorable baby girl in a nature trail near her sister’s home. Jyotsna’s cute little family was in town from San Francisco visiting her sister and parents in Orange County. After we had a mini session at the nature trails we headed down the street to join the rest of the family. While in town Jyotsna really wanted to capture the new generation (her daughter and her sister’s son) with the old generation (her parents). The Lakamraju family created some beautiful memories that day. Throughout our time together they seemed to generate a celebratory vibe of just enjoying the presence of each other and loving life.
This one is my favorite. The family is all together embracing each other.
