Isabella | First Birthday | Whittier

Isabella’s first birthday photo session was a piece of cake! Her brightness shined throughout the entire session. Her mommy used a lovely pastel pink color palette that perfectly represented Isabella’s birthday spirits. Of course her parents would go all out, with a gorgeous laced-teepee, to add to her special session, which was uber chic! Although I think Isabella has mommy’s beauty, she’s totally daddy’s little girl. It was her daddy that held each one of her squishy little fingers every time her feet became unsteady and when dirtied her pretty in pink dress he was there to brush it off and give her encouraging kisses. At the end of this fun fantasy-like shoot baby Isabella was all pooped out and ready for some serious napping zzz’s! 2016-07-10_00122016-07-10_00112016-07-10_00102016-07-10_00092016-07-10_00082016-07-10_00072016-07-10_00062016-07-10_00052016-07-10_00042016-07-10_00032016-07-10_00022016-07-10_00012016-07-10_00132016-07-10_00142016-07-10_00152016-07-10_00162016-07-10_0017

Multigenerational Family Session | Family | Whittier

I love Whittier! Great food, trails, and community, not to mention adorable families! Sarah and Nick are close friends of mine, so when Nick’s mom, Joan, contacted me to help her document three generations of Alarcon’s I was not only honored but all in! This multigenerational family session included Joan her two sons and their growing families. In all honesty I love the typical family session but I think it’s incredible to see multiple generations come together because of this phenomenal quote, “{photographs are to}…freeze a moment in time, preserve a family’s history, and ensure future generations will com to know their ancestors.” We all need memories like theses; the kind we can print, hang on our walls, and as time passes feel a sweet sense of relief that they hold a special place in our hearts and homes.

Meg, Aaron, William & Anna| Family | Eaton Canyon

Meg and her family joined me on a clear and crisp Winter afternoon at Eaton Canyon. William, eleven, and Anna, seven, were like most pre-teens eager to tell me all sorts of wonderful ideas they had and what they enjoyed doing for fun, like having movie night with homemade popcorn. After chatting with the four of them I knew exactly where the kiddies got their keen sense of conversations from, their parents! Meg and Aaron were sweet, nurturing, and very attentive parents. That afternoon I felt like an intern, listening attentively to every tone they used and sweet word that rolled of their tongues, in hopes that one day I will conquer the pre-teen stage (for my kids) as gracefully as they have! These are the kinds of parents I like to say “bravo” to, because their polite well-spoken children are surely top notch in my book! 2016-07-06_00242016-07-06_00252016-07-06_00262016-07-06_00272016-07-06_00282016-07-06_00292016-07-06_00302016-07-06_00312016-07-06_00322016-07-06_00332016-07-06_00342016-07-06_00352016-07-06_00362016-07-06_00372016-07-06_00382016-07-06_00392016-07-06_00402016-07-06_00412016-07-06_00422016-07-06_00432016-07-06_00442016-07-06_00452016-07-06_00462016-07-06_00472016-07-06_00482016-07-06_00492016-07-06_00502016-07-06_00512016-07-06_00522016-07-06_00532016-07-06_00542016-07-06_00552016-07-06_00562016-07-06_00572016-07-06_00582016-07-06_00592016-07-06_00602016-07-06_00612016-07-06_00622016-07-06_00632016-07-06_00642016-07-06_00652016-07-06_00662016-07-06_00672016-07-06_00682016-07-06_00692016-07-06_00702016-07-06_0071

Maiya & Liam | First Birthdays |Los Angeles County

Twins separated at birth, just joshing you all! These two cuties were born on the same day so obviously they’ll share a birthday photo session to celebrate turning one! Each of their personalities definitely shine through! Maiya is was a little camera shy, but full of curiosity and sass! Her dainty mannerisms and beauty just shown through every image. Liam had a chill “look-at-me” swag to him! Mama, with that smile you better watch out! Till’ next time cuties! 2016-07-06_00012016-07-06_00022016-07-06_00032016-07-06_00042016-07-06_00052016-07-06_00062016-07-06_00072016-07-06_00082016-07-06_00092016-07-06_00102016-07-06_00112016-07-06_00122016-07-06_00132016-07-06_00142016-07-06_00152016-07-06_00162016-07-06_00172016-07-06_00182016-07-06_00192016-07-06_00202016-07-06_00212016-07-06_00222016-07-06_0023

Baby Landon | Newborn |Rancho Cucamonga

It’s always a beautiful thing when a baby is born! Michelle and Andy welcomed their bouncing baby boy into the world this summer. Landon just melted their hearts, as he did mine when I photographed their lovely family of three (now) at their home in Rancho Cucamonga. Although the sun was shinning bright that morning the three of them made their session look like a breeze! Lots of giggles and tender touches was the key to a simply sweet newborn session.

Landon has a very chic nursery with lots of grays and chevron patterns, but what his daddy wanted most was to get a shot of baby Landon on top of his Dodger’s baseball shirt. I’m a Dodger girl myself but I never thought of how cute a baby could look while surrounded by all of that baseball gear. Good job dad! Oh and to this family’s surprise their session was gifted by one of my former brides (she’s also a dear friend). How generous and absolutely thoughtful is that, right?!

Congratulations on your first born Michelle and Andy! May your stretches of sleep be long and your days till your next Dodger game be short:) 2015-08-30_00012015-08-30_00022015-08-30_00032015-08-30_00042015-08-30_00052015-08-30_00062015-08-30_00072015-08-30_00082015-08-30_00102015-08-30_00112015-08-30_00122015-08-30_00132015-08-30_00142015-08-30_00152015-08-30_00162015-08-30_00172015-08-30_00182015-08-30_00192015-08-30_00202015-08-30_00212015-08-30_00222015-08-30_00242015-08-30_00252015-08-30_00262015-08-30_00272015-08-30_00282015-08-30_00292015-08-30_00312015-08-30_00322015-08-30_00332015-08-30_00352015-08-30_00362015-08-30_00372015-08-30_00382015-08-30_00392015-08-30_0034

Ellie Turns Two | Birthday Session | Belmont Shore

Here she is! My little darling baby girl officially moved out of toddlerhood into a full-fledge kid. Whaaa! I’m just kidding. I can’t wait to watch her grow. Unlike her brother who practically spoke full sentences (no baby talk) coming out of my womb, she speaks as babyish as they come. She says adorably cute things like “dash-some” for “can I have some” and “mememade” for “lemonade” but my favorite is “ow-weeze” for you guessed it “Eloise.” So although she’s growing I can still count on the little things to make me feel like she’s still my baby girl. Can I just stare and squeeze her all day long?! It’s more then her sweet little voice, pudgy toes, big bright eyes, and “Boo” like appearance. It’s the giggly and tender love that she brings to our family each and every day. I still pinch myself knowing that I have a girl. Happy birthday to my pretty little gal! 2015-08-12_00012015-08-12_00022015-08-12_00032015-08-12_00042015-08-12_00052015-08-12_00062015-08-12_00072015-08-12_00082015-08-12_00092015-08-12_00102015-08-12_00112015-08-12_00122015-08-12_00132015-08-12_00142015-08-12_00152015-08-12_00162015-08-12_00172015-08-12_00182015-08-12_00192015-08-12_00202015-08-12_00212015-08-12_00222015-08-12_00232015-08-12_00242015-08-12_00252015-08-12_00262015-08-12_00272015-08-12_00282015-08-12_00292015-08-12_0030

Our Babe | Part Two | Newborn Photography

What can I say, I’m a bit obsessed with taking photos of my kids. I just can’t help myself! It’s their little toes, squishy noses, and overall innocence that gets me. Like they say, “time flies” and boy it sure does! I get all emotional just thinking about how I started my photography business. When my son was born a little over four years ago I really wanted to capture every single possible moment of his life. It took us a little while to get pregnant so when he arrived I couldn’t help but take a daily, weekly, monthly, and each milestone photo. Once I started clicking I literally couldn’t stop. I knew I was passionate about photography when I was in high school, but I didn’t realize how much I enjoyed making people smile (especially my son) and capturing those beautiful images. Now I am so obsessed with trying to perfect the ideal balance between a pretty posed shot and a effortlessly beautiful candid image that I want to practice on my children all the time. Here are a little bit of both types of photos. And now that our family is complete I really want to make sure I get as many of their “growing up together” moments before they all part their ways into adult hood and all I’m left with are my memories and these photos of my beautiful babes! (I know those last couple of lines had my throat in a knot) 2015-07-13_00202015-07-13_00022015-07-13_00032015-07-13_00042015-07-13_00052015-07-13_00062015-07-13_00072015-07-13_00082015-07-13_00092015-07-13_00102015-07-13_00112015-07-13_00122015-07-13_00132015-07-13_00142015-07-13_00152015-07-13_00162015-07-13_00172015-07-13_00182015-07-13_00192015-07-13_00212015-07-13_00222015-07-13_00232015-07-13_00242015-07-13_0025

Mr. & Mrs. Rhoads |Married |Dove Canyon

Oh such a lovely day for a wedding in the beautiful month of May. Carrie and Jason tied the knot in front of many of their friends, family, and very close colleagues. Throughout the entire day they both had such a gleam in their eye that no one even mattered besides each other. I never had to ask them to redo a kiss because it seemed as though their lips ceased to separated. Now, that’s what I call love! These two are so sweet it’s like honey is oozing out of their pores. Their kindness and generosity are definitely the reason why their day just kept on getting better. Good people totally equals good vibes and even better luck.

Congratulations you two sweet souls! I’m really hoping you’ll start your family soon so I can photograph some red-headed blue-eyed babes!
