Quiroz Family. Family. Orange County Family Photographer.

Vanessa and her handsome family of four couldn’t have made my afternoon any better that day at their session. First off their boys were not only looking so fresh and so clean, but had perfect side combs, matching bow ties, and sweet smiles to go along with their entertaining personalities. Vanessa and I have followed one another on Instgram for a while now so it was pretty awesome to finally meet her hot mama self and family in person. You know it’s funny how we think we know how a person’s day is going by viewing their lives on one tiny square shaped photos on a small screen day in and day out, but to meet real live people and their families in person is just so much better! I got to joke around and play “competition” games with the Quiroz boys and I might have had even more fun then them (I’m just sayin’)! Now let’s talk about how smoking hot Vanessa and her hubby looked together all decked out in black. Too good! Oh and her necklace, ya I think I might want that on my Christmas list (a-hem hope my hubby is reading this). Thank you Quiroz family for allowing me to meet your adorable family in person and hang out with you guys for a couple of hours. 2014-11-24_00012014-11-24_00032014-11-24_00042014-11-24_00052014-11-24_00062014-11-24_00072014-11-24_00432014-11-24_00092014-11-24_00102014-11-24_00112014-11-24_00122014-11-24_00132014-11-24_00142014-11-24_00152014-11-24_00162014-11-24_00172014-11-24_00182014-11-24_00192014-11-24_00202014-11-24_00212014-11-24_00222014-11-24_00232014-11-24_00242014-11-24_00252014-11-24_00262014-11-24_00272014-11-24_00282014-11-24_00292014-11-24_00302014-11-24_00312014-11-24_00322014-11-24_00332014-11-24_00342014-11-24_00352014-11-24_00362014-11-24_00372014-11-24_00442014-11-24_00392014-11-24_00402014-11-24_00412014-11-24_0042

Arlene, Anthony & Baby Jacob. Family. Orange County Family Photographer.

Sometimes I want to just squeeze my clients to pieces. I tend to become a little overwhelmed with happiness and get all mushy inside when I look at my inbox and see a request for another session from one of my previous clients. This my friends, I think, is the ultimate compliment. It’s when you know they like your work and maybe you (just a little bit). So here we are. I am photographing Arlene, Anthony and now one-year old baby Jacob. Time just keeps marching on and I love to watch my families grow. Take a looksies at Jacob’s adorable big bright blue eyes and his blondie hair. I remember he was such a tough guy during his newborn session and really tested my limits, but the aftermath was all worth it! And now, he’s an even more adorable toddler just full of smiles and the funniest faces you ever did see! Arlene and Anthony I’m so ready for you guys to have another one so I can keep photographing your beautiful family (oh did I type that hee he)!

Oh and also check out the latest first birthday item that Arlene ordered from Etsy. They are super cool chalkboard-like poster boards with all the neat things Jacob can do and what he likes. Also, I love balloons, thanks Arlene for being so cute and bringing them along.2014-10-21_00012014-10-21_00022014-10-21_00032014-10-21_00042014-10-21_00052014-10-21_00062014-10-21_00072014-10-21_00082014-10-21_00092014-10-21_00102014-10-21_00112014-10-21_00122014-10-21_00132014-10-21_00142014-10-21_00152014-10-21_00162014-10-21_00172014-10-21_00182014-10-21_00192014-10-21_00202014-10-21_00212014-10-21_00222014-10-21_00232014-10-21_00242014-10-21_00252014-10-21_00262014-10-21_00272014-10-21_00282014-10-21_00292014-10-21_00302014-10-21_00312014-10-21_00322014-10-21_00332014-10-21_00342014-10-21_00352014-10-21_00362014-10-21_0037

Apple Picking. Personal. Los Angeles Lifestyle Photographer.

Apple picking is our thang! We look forward to it and no matter how hot or cold we love make-beliving that we are in the county. Crisp apples, apple pie, apple cider, apple butter, caramel apples you name it we are eating it! Along with all the fun of picking these delicious red, yellow and green apples and pressing our own cider I also love having an educational opportunity right at my fingers (literally). Researchers have done studies that prove the more experiences a baby, from the time of birth to three years old, acquire the more connections they will be able to create later in life, which will provide them with the necessary tools to succeed in their educational career. I know I got a little teacher-y on you, but I’m an education freak. Lol And what’s better then giving my children a fun educational experience? Well, having fun with them and being able to document these moments too! Here’s our 2014 apple picking adventures at Oak Glen. ‘Till next year.

By the way, this is an excellent spot for a family, maternity or lifestyle photo session. Just email me and I’ll be there!

Toby & Jeffrey. Maternity. Orange County Maternity Photographer.

I’m not sure which sessions I feel more honored to be apart of; those of my friends or those that are referred by friends, family and even past clients. What I do know is that I love maternity sessions! Something about a first or even a third pregnancy and each mother’s excitement automatically lifts my spirits and makes me want to jump up for joy that they are blessed with this gift of another human. Toby was actually referred to me by one of my dear grad school friends and I couldn’t be more thrilled! Toby and Jeffrey are admittedly homebodies and just enjoy the simple things in life…like staying in to watch a good flick, grubbing at some good eateries and just being together. With that being said, they are ready to welcome their son, Oliver into their comfy lifestyle. Through out the session Toby and Jeffrey were one of those couples that hardly needed any direction. They just fell into place whenever I was about to put them into position. Along with her natural beauty and his handsome retro look they were such a joy to photograph! I’m sure little Oliver is going to be one handsome hunk! Toby and Jeffrey, Congratulations on your journey into parenthood! 2014-09-24_00012014-09-24_00022014-09-24_00032014-09-24_00042014-09-24_00052014-09-24_00062014-09-24_00072014-09-24_00082014-09-24_00092014-09-24_00102014-09-24_00112014-09-24_00122014-09-24_00132014-09-24_00142014-09-24_00152014-09-24_00162014-09-24_00172014-09-24_00182014-09-24_00192014-09-24_00202014-09-24_00212014-09-24_00222014-09-24_00242014-09-24_00252014-09-24_00262014-09-24_00272014-09-24_00282014-09-24_00292014-09-24_00302014-09-24_00312014-09-24_00322014-09-24_00332014-09-24_00342014-09-24_00352014-09-24_00362014-09-24_00382014-09-24_00392014-09-24_00402014-09-24_00412014-09-24_00422014-09-24_00432014-09-24_00442014-09-24_00452014-09-24_00482014-09-24_00492014-09-24_0047

Maritza, Son & Baby Maxson. Family. Los Angeles County Family Photographer.

Maxon’s name is derived from the combination of his dad’s (Son) and grandfather’s (Max) first names. How special is that? Right! This good looking little guy just recently celebrated his first birthday and his parent’s spoiled him with an entire session dedicated to his sweet cheeks! Besides the typical dude activities, like playing ball and pushing things around, Maxson also enjoys reading a novel or two, just kidding. But, he does love books! Maxson’s parents took awesome to a whole other level by teaching in not one, not two, but there languages. Maxson is currently learning English, Spanish and Vietnamese! Rock on parents, rock on!!! One of his and his mommy’s favorites is Love You For Always. What a tear jerker (It gets me every SINGLE time)! Maritza and Son wanted to stay local so I met them up at their neighborhood park. They really enjoy their weekly walks to and from this park. Maritza also loves taking Maxson to Mommy and Me classes on Mondays. Interesting fact… Maritza and I have our littles in the same class and we didn’t even know it until the second session. Small small world! Now I’m so excited that my daughter has this adorable and photogenic little tike as her new friend. Happy, Happy First little man!

Toapanta Family. Family. Orange County Family Photographer.

The Toapanta family got together to celebrate a beautiful woman and her life as a wife, mother, and now grandmother. If you ask me Lorraine doesn’t look a day over forty and that’s all anyone needs to know about how many candles she had on her cake this year. Christina, her eldest daughter, had shared with me at her recent maternity session that her and her family wanted to surprise their mom with some birthday photos. First off I love birthdays and then photo session surprises are even more of a treat! I was excited to reconnect (the Topanta sister’s and I went to high school together…go Tigers!) with their sweet sweet as can be family. Lorraine couldn’t thank me enough for the wonderful surprise. It was really all Mr. T’s (so cool, right?) and his family’s idea. I was just there to document that love that bonds families together. All I could think of was, wow you look exactly how I remember at all of our track meets. I was going to say how lovely all the Toapanta women are, but they aren’t all Topantas anymore. They’ve grown up and now are married. On top of that their baby brother isn’t such a baby anymore either! He’s one handsome young man and his girlfriend also came to join in on the festivities. What a perfect bunch!

So here’s to a beautiful happy birthday photo session for Lorraine! I wish you many many more candles on that birthday cake and a bundle more grandchildren (because this first one is just a doll) as well!

Palms Springs to San Diego. Personal. Lifestyle Photographer.

Now that we have kids, we aren’t about to quickly jump on a plane and take any major vacay, but we still love traveling up and down the coast of Cali. Two of our most favorite spots in SoCal are Palms Spring and San Diego. We said, “What the heck,” and took a little four-day getaway {with the kids of course}. Our first stop was Palm Springs. We hung out with some friends and enjoyed swimming, some more swimming and a few refreshing Palomas at Suguro’s El Jefe bar. In the morning we had breakfast at the Ace Hotel. Yup, their clean eating options were definitely on point! The next few days were spent walking around Sand Diego with our sisters. I brought my sister, Mimi, and we met up my hubby’s sister, Linda. She toured us around her campus, UCSD. Then we acted like tourist and dug our toes into as much sand as we could stand and ate at several Yelp rated hole-in-the-walls. Oh and I did a bit of shopping, of course! We ended our travels by the pier. My son thought one of the ships was a pirate ship. Hello, of course it is… and Captain Hook visits there sometimes. Summer is starting off pretty sweet! I know summer hasn’t even official started, but we got a head start.

Desiree & Robert. Lifestyle. Orange County Lifestyle Photographer.

Life and love are the purest form of God’s gift to us, no doubt. I believe love can heal and love can work miracles. When we get sick, when we grow old, or when we hurt; Love will mend our souls with a touch or a kiss and conquer over all the heartache and pain. Robert’s love for Desiree is the epitamy of this kind of powerful and unconditional heart-pounding, in sickness and in health, butterfly in your stomach kind of love. I’m pretty sure neither you nor I would have ever guessed Desiree was diagnosed with cancer unless she said mentioned it because she’s one of the most optimistic people I know. She’s gorgeous and her heart and personality seem to shine even brighter as if she has a halo around her entire body that exudes positivity. Robert and Desiree wanted this session to tell the world that they are ready to go to battle. With his hand in hers, their sweet embrace and touch will become her cancer’s kryptonite. During their session I could see why Robert adores Dez. She was there in the present, enjoying their time with one another and just being themselves. She reminded me to embrace this beautiful life no matter what the circumstances are.

I am still in awe of how strong Desiree is and how I feel so weak because I’m afraid. It seems as though every month my son and I pray for yet another person that is fighting cancer. I want to do something. I want to kick and scream. I want to yell at Cancer and punch it’s face in. I want it to tell it to got to the moon and never come back. But I can’t, so all I can do is pray and help spread some love your way so that you too will persevere and kick Cancer’s butt.

Desiree and Robert thank you for sharing your story and your love. God bless your journey!
