Erandy. Maternity. Orange County Maternity Photographer.

I can’t express enough how much beauty there is when a woman is with child. Maternity photo sessions are my favorite right now because I have so many gorgeous women coming my way wanting to share the love that they have for their baby-on-the-way. Their figures which bare these precious bundles are like exquisite time vessels carrying life and displaying the time that literally passes before your eyes as their belly grows. Our bodies are incredible I tell ya! I always feel honored when people ask me to photograph their lovely family, wedding, or pregnancy. With Erandy, an ah-maze-ing makeup artist, I felt just the same. I love making new friends, especially those that are passionate for their craft, like this gal. Seriously, I love this biz because I’ve made so many talented friends and now I get to photograph their journey through life.

This will be Erandy’s third child (third baby boy). Let me tell you, she makes some handsome fellas! Her boys are absolutely as sweet as sugar and have looks that are going to melt some hearts….and I’m not just saying this because it’s close to Valentine’s Day either (lol). Erandy came to me wanting to create a natural and intimate maternity session. I took her to one of my favorite spots where nature is at it’s best. The weather was perfect, she was radiant, and well everything just fell into place. Erandy looked like Angelina Jolie meets forest goddess. It was also a combination of her dresses and flower crown (by Laura from Instyle Blooms) that made everything perfect.

Thank you Erandy for helping me create some  lovely images of you and your beautiful belly. I know your hubby and children will cherish these images for years to come. To all your men at home, please enjoy all the beauty that is coming your way.

Diana, Ario & Baby Noah. Maternity. Orange County Maternity Photographer.

Hugs and kisses are definitely food for the soul. With a little princess on her way, this lovable family of three will soon be four. I have watched, prayed, and embraced Diana and Ario since before their first baby (Noah) was born. At about six months of age, he had to undergo Cranio surgery putting them through some tough times. Yet, no matter how many times their faith was tried, they continued to push forward and love on. Indeed they are blessed and during this season of hope and family, what could be a better gift then a newborn’s arrival? I’m certain that Noah will be a caring and protective older brother. During the session he smothered mama with love and played alongside dada. Although he is almost only two years young, you can tell by his little smirk that he knows his very own playmate will arrive soon. What’s even better is that Diana’s sister Emily is also expecting a girl and they are due just weeks apart. Lucky duckies I tell ya! These cousins are going to have a blast together. Diana and Ario, congratulations on your sweet pea! I can’t wait to meet her and dazzle up her newborn session with bows, sequins and of course some pink!

Arlene & Anthony . Maternity. Orange County Maternity Photographer.

Could you believe that we had this gorgeous maternity session at the beach in October? Yup, sure did. Although Arlene is going to have a true fall baby, due in November, we had what seemed to be a very hot summer maternity session. I’m telling you I was wrapped from head-to-toe in fall attire. It was like Wham! As soon as we started Arlene and Anthony’s maternity sesh, it went from being as crisp as a cucumber to hot as a red tamale. Lucky for them they were dressed weather appropriate in cool summer whites. Boy oh boy did Arlene look stunning. Something about whites and creams always make for a pretty picture. An extra added bonus to Arlene’s loviness was her gorgeous eyes. I wonder if Anthony also has the recessive gene? Those would be some amazing eyes on their future baby bundle!

They met in high school and their love is still as strong as it was then, and is growing now that they have baby number one on his way. Throughout the morning, Arlene and I chatted away talking a little about this and that, you know the basics. It turns out that I have a lot in common with this beauty. We both attended an all-girl high schools, just have sisters, and the best is that she’s also a Trojan! Fight on! Yes, Arlene gets down with her bad self and is actually getting her MBA, from USC, as I type. That just means that future baby Anthony is going to be one good looking guy and a smarty too! “Daddy Anthony” was a little shy, but he did mention to me how excited he was to introduce his little man to fun, fun, fun, like his favorite sports!

Congratulations Arlene and Anthony! I can’t wait to see what your little feisty (mama says he’s very active already) guy looks like.

Vanessa, Rafael & Melodie. Maternity Session. Orange County Maternity Photographer.

The most incredible thing about love is that it continues to grow. Just when you think your heart can’t get anymore complete than this…it grows with Love. Vanessa and Rafael have had their hearts and arms wrapped around their daughter, Melodie for almost six years now. Just like Vanessa’s belly keeps expanding with their growing baby, so will the love they share. Vanessa and Rafael will welcome their second baby girl, Eva Juliet (oh how I love that name) into their world this May. The funny thing is how little Melodie wasn’t quit ready at first. Vanessa said that when they first told Melodie she was going to be a big sister, she asked if they could send the baby back. All they had to do was tell the Dr. they didn’t want the baby. Simple right? Little girls and the things they say…Melodie would also constantly ask her mommy if she was sure there really was a baby in there. Hilarious but oh so cute! I think someone felt comfortable with her only child status. Now Melodie is thrilled with becoming a big sister. And who wouldn’t be? She gets to dress her up, experiment with make-up, and blame all the mess on her little sister (or at least that’s what I used to do).

Congratulations Vanessa, Rafael, and Melodie. May your hearts overflow with Love.
My favorite.Vanessa is so crafty. She made this sign and put together a few more props. So gorgeous, I can’t take it! My favorite.

Amber Jo & Charles. Maternity. Los Angeles Maternity Photographer.

During the Christmas season, I like to hold on a little tighter to everyone I love. It definitely is the most wonderful time of the year, but its not because of the giddy songs, or tubs of butter that go into cookie making, or even the finely wrapped Christmas presents under the tree. This time is the most wonderful because we spend quality minutes, hours, and days just being with our families. Life just seems a million times more precious when a new baby is ready to come into the world. Amber Jo and Charles will also snuggle a little closer, kiss a little longer, and hold hands a little tighter because this February they will be blessed with a sweet baby boy.

The Crimes have been married for almost six years now and are both in the nursing field, so this awesome couple is truly prepared and ready to welcome their little one at the end of this winter season. Amber Jo currently works at UCLA medical center and Charles attended my alma mater, UCIrvine, for a bit and then finished up at UCLA… so you know baby Cayden will have some blue and gold running through his veins (personally I love my cardinal and gold 🙂 Fight On!). During the session, this cute couple was super prepared with their own baby props, a change of outfit, and a ton of ideas to help create a personalized maternity session. The Crimes thought it would be fun to add a little Christmas flair into their session, so we found the biggest, baddest tree around and made it happen! Guess what? The tree is 100% real too. The Americana doesn’t mess around! Amber Jo and Charles also wanted to get some photos inside Barnes and Noble with the one of the trendiest and cutest books of the  year, The Elf on the Shelf. I can’t wait to use this book and little elf with my son when he gets a little bit older. We ended the session with some gorgeous silhouette photos in a very unexpected location…try to figure out where 🙂

Congratulations Amber Jo and Charles! You two (I mean three) are adorable! I’m so excited to also be able and photograph little Cayden when he arrives.

See what I mean, biggest tree ever!Little Cayden is going to have one good looking grin on him. C is for Cayden. These two, always so studious. Amber Jo, you are one gorgeous mama to be!I posted two similar pictures because I adore it. Love, love, love! He’s already going to rock the Toms!
I can’t get enough of your beauty, Amber. My second favorites.

Melody & Richard. Maternity. Orange County Maternity Photographer.

Hey Jude, you are going to be one good looking little fella from the top of your head to the bottoms of your souls. Jude’s parent’s, Melody and Richard, are a beautiful couple and have their own creative twist to their fun and flirty style. Melody is super sweet so it was unfortunate that she was in a lot of pain when I first met with her.  Melody has been suffering through some wicked morning sickness (or as I like to call it, all-day sickness) and a lot of discomfort while walking. Wouldn’t you have aches and pains if you had an itty bitty frame like her? While we planned out her maternity session, she gently stated that she wanted to keep it very conservative and simple. And you know what they say about simple? “Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication…” or so I’ve pinned on pinterest. Well, I thought perfect!  Although I’m a bit of a prop junkie, I also think simple is very classic.

The afternoon of our photo session I was a bit nervous because I didn’t want Melody to feel discomfort during the time I would be photographing her. I crossed my fingers and just hoped for the best. However, when I met Richard, Melody’s husband, I immediately felt more at ease in getting her in and out of poses because he was so gentle. They were just perfect together. As I started the session, I was like “Whoa!” Their love for one another was so flirty and genuine that it seemed as if I was photographing their engagement session or an Abercrombie and Fitch advertisement. No joke! I loved every bit of passion and love that oozed into my lens. Although Melody didn’t use any props besides my vintage green bucket chair, she added her own personality with the cutest accessories and outfits that she had planned for her and Richard. And to my surprise, she allowed her cute little belly to peek through this amazing one-of-a-kind fringed lace top. When I saw that top I knew we had to chit chat it up about our love for vintage finds and thrift shopping! Baby Jude is seriously going to be a stunna and one well-threaded gent!

Melody and Richard you guys are too adorable for words! Thank you for allowing me to photograph your love for each other and your new little family. Here’s some more oozing love.

See…so loving it just makes the images that more intamate.Melody wanted me to get the cute little writing on her finger. It said, “Hey Jude.” I think someone is a Beatles fan! This one right here is my favorite!Pretty belly!Whoa! Love it!Look at how cute they look.

Melissa & Larry. Baby Shower Photo Booth. Los Angles Lifestyle Photographer.

I get excited for every kind of photo booth for so many reasons. However, I’m a bit biased when it comes to the photo booths I create. Sure vintage and class strip photo booths are great for any event, but one: there is a limited amount of space (probably only enough to fit my husband’s head), two: you get the basic blue/red or black and white background, and three: there is no personalization whatsoever. Yes, I know you are thinking the digital ones have the couples name on the bottom with a cute little design attached. Don’t get me wrong I’m totally not bashing regular photo booths. I love me some four-photo strip action going on at a wedding or fair. BUT, like I mentioned before I’m biased and I love how I can help you personalize your backdrop and props so you can fit more then three heads in a box and give your party some photo fun! Also, I think it would be pretty difficult to fit a cute little preggie mama’s tummy in a classic photo booth.

Melissa and Larry gave me creative permission to design a vintage- themed photo booth for their baby shower. Larry  and Melissa were ecstatic when they found out they were having a boy. Instantaneously Larry knew he wanted some sort of homage to his favorite team, the Dodgers. Now, how could they go wrong with that? Go Dodgers! So vintage +baseball + Dodgers = a pin stripped backdrop with a pennant that revealed their baby boy’s name to their family and friends. I brought along a vintage baseball bat, more meaningful pennants, a letter letter “A” for Andrew (not for Angels, sorry Angels fans) covered with baseballs, and a few baseball shaped whiteboards to write some personalized messages to baby Andrew and family.

Congratulations Larry and Melissa I know Andrew is going to be one awesome slugger!
The black and whites were my favorite. They reminded me of one of my all-time favorite baseball movies, A league of Their Own. I can hear Madonna singing  right now.

Erica. Maternity. Los Angeles Maternity Photographer.

Erica and I met in grad school at USC. Fight On! She is a total sweetheart and has one of those cute and contagious giggles, so I knew we would have a blast at her maternity session. Erica and her husband Joe, will be expecting their first child, a girl, on October 1st. I am so excited for them because it’s their first little sweet pea. I am also very honored to be able to document their maternity shoot. Erica’s husband, Joe, has been struggling with cancer for a couple of years now, so I really wanted to make this maternity session extra special for the both of them. Extra special in a way that Erica and Joe’s love for one another will be conveyed not just by what they wore or how they smiled, but through the gleam in their eyes that represents the positive outlook they have today and for the new chapter in their lives.

Erica and her husband wanted to have their maternity shoot somewhere with lots of greenery. So, what the mama-to-be wants is what the mama gets! We found a lovely spot in L.A. and then moved to an extraordinarily enchanted forest-like trail a couple of miles down the block. Erica also wanted to go all out! She had tons of outfit changes ready and was willing to literally jump on any rock or tree to get the perfect shot. It’s great when mama’s are feisty, like myself, and will almost do “extreme posing” for the shot. Okay I did get a little nervous when I turned around and she was already on a 6-foot ledge. We all laughed but those are the memories I love to make with my future mommies, at our shoots.

Congratulations my zesty little mama! Thank you for trusting me with your beautiful belly! I can’t wait to see your darling baby girl at our newborn session. I’m ultra excited to doll her up in all the bows, pink poofs, and pastel headbands that I have made. Joe and Jia thanks for being troopers-FIGHT ON family! Here’s a slideshow with some more pics.

Umm, I love Joe’s look here. Yup, he adores her!Erica and Joe also wanted their doggie, Jia, to be apart of their photo shoot. You are breathtaking my dear, simply breathtaking.I found my favorite. The light was so magical and perfect at this exact spot and time. She looks stunning!
Here is where she jumped up an extremely high wall, but I’m so glad she did. Her belly against this red trunk looks amazing!I think Jia could me a doggie model for sure. Look at this family shot. Perfection!
Thank you, thank you for showing your belly in these next shots. These images are so feminine and beautiful.Okay I’m going to cheat. This is my second favorite. hehehee …and here is what the cute giggle looks like…sorry, you can’t hear it.
